Resolve to be Cyber-Resilient this November!

Cyber-Resilient November

Each year, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) leads the national recognition of Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience (CISR) Month in November.

This annual effort focuses on educating and engaging all levels of government, infrastructure owners and operators, and the American public about the vital role critical infrastructure plays in the nation’s wellbeing and why it is important to strengthen critical infrastructure security and resilience.

As a nation, we are grappling with continued cyber and physical threats to critical infrastructure Americans rely on every day. We have seen increasing threats of violence targeted at faith-based organizations, election workers, and others; extended, record-breaking heat and destructive weather and fire events; global conflicts with ripple effects around the world, including civil disturbances at home; and rapid advances in technology that enable novel cybersecurity risks.

With all that said, the safety and security of the nation depends on the ability of critical infrastructure owners and operators like us to prepare for and adapt to changing conditions and to withstand and recover rapidly from disruptions!

Critical Signs It's Time to Outsource Your IT Management

IT Management Outsource

At some point, every business reaches a crossroads where managing its IT operations becomes too expensive, too complicated, or too distracting from core objectives....

By partnering with external service providers, organizations can effectively address their growing IT needs without the burden of managing everything in-house. But, how do you know if it’s the right time to outsource?

7 Signs It’s Time to Outsource Your IT Management

1.      Complex Regulatory Requirements

Organizations facing complex compliance issues may benefit from outsourced IT services that specialize in regulatory adherence. These providers can ensure that your systems meet necessary standards without overwhelming your internal team.

2.      Access to Latest Technology

Outsourcing allows organizations to leverage cutting-edge technology without incurring high upfront costs. This access can provide a competitive advantage by keeping your systems current and efficient.

3.      Increased Security Threats

Gartner forecasts that by 2025, around 30% of organizations responsible for critical infrastructure will suffer a security breach.

4.      The Need for 24/7 Support

If your business requires round-the-clock IT support,

outsourcing is often the most practical solution.

Managed service providers can offer continuous monitoring and support, ensuring that your systems are always operational.

5.      Recurring IT Problems

If you find yourself dealing with the same technical issues  repeatedly, it may indicate that your internal team lacks the necessary skills or resources to resolve them effectively.  Outsourced IT services can bring fresh perspectives and specialized knowledge to tackle persistent problems.

6.      Frequent Downtime

Regular system outages can severely impact productivity and revenue. If your organization experiences frequent downtime, it may be time to seek external expertise that can enhance system reliability and performance.

7. High IT Spending

If your organization is spending excessively on maintaining an in-house IT department, it may be time to evaluate outsourcing options. Outsourcing can often be more cost-effective, allowing you to pay only for the services you need without the overhead costs associated with full-time employees.

Act now to position your organization for success before technical issues begin to take a toll on your operations!
